Schools that participate in the federal E-Rate program must obtain an FCC Registration Number by November 1, 2004


The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) is reminding all schools, school districts, and school administrative facilities that participate in the federal E-Rate program that they must obtain an FCC Registration Number from the Federal Communications Commission by November 1, 2004. By that date, participants are required to obtain at least one FCC number for each federal Employer Identification Number (EIN); entities with only one EIN may need to obtain more than one FCC number, but at least one is required for now. Some entities that do business with the FCC may already have an FCC number. For details, instructions and tips on applying, and a link to apply online, see USAC’s website, below.
