Cheryl Sandner, Vice Chair
Ms. Sandner currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Brokers' Risk Placement Service, Inc. She is a member of the Board of Directors of K2 Re, Ltd. Bermuda, a reinsurance company, as well as a member of the Board for BRPS, Bermuda Ltd., a brokerage firm.
Before joining BRPS, Ms. Sandner worked as an attorney with the law firm of GoodSmith, Gregg & Unruh, focusing primarily on corporate law matters. She worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions, finance matters and corporate real estate transactions.
Admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1992, she subsequently served more than five years for TCOM, L.P., an international defense contractor that manufactures surveillance systems. Ms. Sandner served as General Counsel for TCOM, L.P. overseeing the company’s intellectual property, Department of State licensing, U.S. and foreign military sales contracts and various other corporate matters. Ms. Sandner also served on the Board of a joint venture formed by TCOM, L.P., based in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Ms. Sandner holds a B.B.A. and B.A. from Southern Methodist University, a J.D. from University of Notre Dame and a LL.M. in Federal Contracts from George Washington University. She has been actively involved in the Lloyd’s Brokers Association, The Junior League of Chicago, Illinois Bar Association, Chicago Women’s Bar Association, and Notre Dame Alumni Assocation. She resides in Chicago with her husband, Marshall Brown, and their two sons.
