Robert Meeks

Bob Meeks joined the staff of Minnesota School Boards Association in 1975 as Director of Special Projects. During his tenure at MSBA, he also served as Assistant Director of Legislative Services, Director of Legislative Services and Director of Governmental Relations. He became the Executive Director in July, 2003.

Meeks received his B.S. degree from Bemidji State College and continued his graduate studies at Bemidji State College. Prior to joining MSBA, he served as Divisional Field Representative for the American Red Cross and also on the staff of G. Theodore Mitau, Chancellor of the State College (now State Universities and Colleges) System, as the Director of State College System Hotline.

Meeks is involved in various professional organizations such as serving as the President on Minnesota Government Relations Council, and the President on Better Education Legislative Lobbying. He is involved in various tasks forces such as Minnesota State Capitol Security Task Force and Court Settlement Tobacco Revenue Use Task Force. He is also serves on the National School Boards Association Executive Directors Liaison Committee and is a member of Coalition on Educational Reform and Accountability, Council on Quality Education and P-16 Round Table. Bob is also involved in his community as a member of United Way Funding Request Review Committee and St. Peter Ambassadors.
