Do you want to connect with the education community in ways that can change its direction? As a member of your State School Boards Association, there are many ways you can get connected. Your state association, in partnership with NSBA, also offers you a wealth of opportunities for you to join fellow board members, superintendents, technology leaders, school attorneys, advocates, change agents, and members of your community. - Join your State School Boards Association and take advantage of the many resources available for your school district.
- National Affiliate - You can learn more about how to become a National Affiliate school district and the variety of informational resources, programs, and services that help them make the best decisions for their districts.
- Technology Leadership Network - This district membership program is an innovative way to bring the school board, administrators, and the district technology team together with the best practices from other districts and to make well-informed technology decisions.
- Council of Urban Boards Education - Learn how to join this valuable resource for urban school leaders find solutions to challenges at the local level and seeks to improve their policy making effectiveness.
- Federal Relations Network - Members are the grassroots activists in their state, working to encourage Congress to support the goals of NSBA's advocacy efforts.
- Caucuses - There are three caucuses that work to provide a forum to actively participate in national dialogue on public school education issues. School board members from all backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the caucuses.
- The National Caucus of American Indian/Alaska Native School Board Members promotes quality education for all students with emphasis on the problems and successes of the American Indian/Alaska Native student.
- The National Black Caucus of School Board Members' focus is to become a leader and advocate on issues of achievement for children of color.
- The National Hispanic Caucus of School Board Members promotes equal educational opportunities for Hispanic children and encourages effective communication regarding minority affairs among boards and their associations.
