General session speakers include award-winning actor and singer Leslie Odom Jr. on Thursday. Odom speaks with NSBA Executive Director and CEO Anna Maria Chávez and sings two songs in a live performance. Friday’s keynote speaker is journalist, documentarian, author, and philanthropist Soledad O’Brien. Closing out as the general session speaker on Saturday is Shawn Achor, positive psychology researcher and best-selling author of The Happiness Advantage.

Guiding attendees throughout the online event is master of ceremonies Laura Schwartz. Schwartz, the author of the book, Eat, Drink, and Succeed, is a professional speaker and television commentator. She worked for the Clinton administration for eight years, beginning as a volunteer and eventually becoming the White House Director of Events.

The Online Experience provides many opportunities to meet and talk with school board and administrator colleagues. Attendees can pop in to daily Conversation Starter sessions to discuss topics and issues facing school leaders. Special regional MindShare & Mingle sessions allow attendees to touch base with their neighbors.
